Senior Pastor
Rev. Chuck & Sandy Hinton
As Pastors of the Edgewood New Journey Church, my wife Sandy and I extend a warm welcome for you to visit with us and to experience the love of God while worshipping with our staff and congregation.
Sandy and I have been a part of Edgewood for 50+ years. We raised three wonderful boys in the Edgewood community and ISD, and all are now grown and have children and grand-children of their own.
We both love the church and our community very much. Our deepest desire is for God to fulfill the vision He has given this church and to have you be apart of that vision.

Associate Pastor
Rev. Dennis & Amber Ladymon
Being Associate Pastors to my wife Amber and I means a great deal to us. Our focus and love is on the family unit. In the home is where our children are shaped and formed. We as parents, grandparents, and even aunts and uncles must bring Christ back to our homes just as David returned the Ark of the Covenant to God's people.
I am honored to have served in the United States Navy from 1988 until 1992. In 2010, I accepted Jesus Christ as the personal Lord and Savior of my life and baptized with the Holy Ghost later that same year, and there is no better feeling than that, Praise God.
In 2012, Amber and I married and in 2016 I answered the call to teach and preach God's Word. In 2021, I completed the CAMS and MIP programs with the Church of God Organization.
Amber proudly serves on the praise team and in our children's ministry.
Our prayer is this, that no child would ever have to look at their parent or parent's and ask...
"Why did you not tell me about Jesus?"

Youth Pastors
Rev. Adam & Jennifer Fischer
My wife Jennifer and I are honored to serve as Youth Pastors at Edgewood New Journey. We have a deep passion for seeing the next generation encounter Jesus in a real and life-transforming way. Our heart is to help young people not only know His name but walk in a genuine, personal relationship with Him.
We believe now is the time for our youth to find their place in the Church and live boldly for Christ. With unity and purpose, we can spark a movement that turns hearts back to God—starting right here in Van Zandt County.
I’ve been part of New Journey most of my life and was ordained in 2021. Jennifer has been a faithful member for over 22 years. We met in 2004, married shortly after, and are blessed with three amazing children who love the Lord.
Alongside leading the Youth Ministry, I also teach Wednesday nights, lead the quarterly Engage class, and fill the pulpit when needed. Jennifer serves on the praise and worship team, is active in the ladies' ministry, and is always ready to serve wherever she’s needed.

Senior Ministry Leader
Rev. Bessie & Kenneth Wiggs
My husband, Kenneth and I were born again in 1970 in Charleston, SC. We were discipled by a loving church who taught us how to witness, pray, visit and love people into the kingdom of God.
My husband, Kenneth was military, so we were relocated to NC, our home state. There, I pastored children's church for 5 years and was able to see our children saved and serving the Lord. Many of them are in ministry today which rejoices my heart!
I attended Bible Training Institute in Cleveland, Tennessee and also had courses with Lee College in Cleveland. I was ordained in September, 1985.
I served as a bi-vocational Pastor for 30 years. My secular vocation is nursing where I was able to witness and minister with every opportunity.
My initial pastoral appointment was to new field work in Grand Forks, ND in 1983. We organized the church there in 1985. While in North Dakota, we served as state secretary for our Church Marker Association. In addition to ND, we pastored in Missoula, MT, and Gillette, Wyoming. While in Gillette, I served as Senior Ministries Secretary for ND, SD, MT and Wy. and Chaplain Assistant to our local hospital.
We returned to NC in 2004 and pastored Grantham, NC. Our hearts were burdened for the NWT so we returned to pastor in Laurel, MT. In 2008, we moved to Texas. After a short season, we were appointed to pastor Terrell, Tx and then, Hagansport, Tx. I retired from pastoring in 2021 following a year of sickness.
I have a shepherd's heart. It is my joy to teach, preach and mentor. It has been a blessing to be a part of the New Journey Church family. Here we assist pastor as needed and work in the 'MOUNTAIN MOVERS' group.
My personal ministry is a monthly newsletter that began in 2004 while serving our older members who could not travel. It is a joy to serve the Lord!!

Worship Leader
Charlie & Misty Lloyd
As the Worship Leader, I’m passionate about creating a worship experience that draws people closer to God. Through music and praise, my goal is to inspire hearts and lift spirits each week.
I work closely with our pastoral team and our talented group of musicians to plan and lead services that are both meaningful and spirit-filled. It’s a joy and a privilege to serve this community through worship.
